Ingredients
- 8 Hellers Burger Ring sausages
- 8 hotdog buns
- 2 large iceberg leaves finely shredded
- 1 cup grated cheese
- Bluebird Burger Rings
- Smokey Tomato Mayo:
- 200g mayo - we recommend Best Foods
- 3 tbsp tomato relish
- 2 tbsp bbq sauce
- 2 hits of tabasco sauce
- Burger Salsa:
- 1/2 white onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 small bunch chives finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes finely chopped
- 1/2 cup dill pickles finely chopped
- 1 squeeze lemon
Method
- To make the smokey tomato mayo place all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix together well. Set a aside to allow the flavours to infuse
- To make the burger salsa place all the ingredients together into a small bowl and fold together. Set aside until ready to use
- In a fry pan or on the bbq over med-low heat gently cook the sausages till piping hot and fully cooked approx. 10-12 mins
- To assemble cut the hotdog buns down the middle from the top halfway through and butter if you prefer. Add the burger ring sausage, top with cheese, smokey tomato mayo, burger salsa and lettuce
- Garnish with burger rings and serve immediately with a side of burger rings to share!
