What you will need:
- 1 pack of Hellers Cheerios
- 1 large pot [with lid if using]
- Cold water
- Colander
- Your favourite condiments
Simple Steps
- Cut the bag across the top and place the cheerios into a large pot
- Cover the cheerios completely with COLD water
- Set the temperature to a medium high heat. Allow the pot to gently come up to temperature - you are watching to see a few small bubbles appear. You can place a lid on the pot as this speeds up the process but it also means they are more likely to burst if you don't keep a close eye on them. Set a timer for every 5 mins so you don't forget!
- As soon as you see a few small bubbles appear then remove immediately from the heat and drain them through a colander placed in your kitchen sink
- Place the drained cheerios back into the warm pot and cover with a lid until you are ready to serve. Alternatively pour the cheerios into a serving bowl.
- Serve with your favourite condiments - we love good ole tom sauce and American mustard!
This method also works perfectly with our hotdogs, kranskys, saveloys and frankfurters.
