Simple Steps

  1. Cut the bag across the top and place the cheerios into a large pot

  2. Cover the cheerios completely with COLD water

  3. Set the temperature to a medium high heat. Allow the pot to gently come up to temperature – you are watching to see a few small bubbles appear. You can place a lid on the pot as this speeds up the process but it also means they are more likely to burst if you don’t keep a close eye on them. Set a timer for every 5 mins so you don’t forget!

  4. As soon as you see a few small bubbles appear then remove immediately from the heat and drain them through a colander placed in your kitchen sink

  5. Place the drained cheerios back into the warm pot and cover with a lid until you are ready to serve. Alternatively pour the cheerios into a serving bowl.

  6. Serve with your favourite condiments – we love good ole tom sauce and American mustard!

This method also works perfectly with our hotdogs, kranskys, saveloys and frankfurters.
