Easy Meatball Pasta

Easy Meatball Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Hellers meatballs
  • 1 white onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
  • 400g chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 bag baby spinach
  • 500g Pasta
  • To serve:
  • Fresh basil
  • Parmesan
  • Pine nuts toasted - optional
  • Crusty bread

Method

  1. In a large deep sided fry pan add 2 tbsp oil, add meatballs and brown off for several minutes. Add the onion and sauté till tender, add the garlic for another minute and finally the spinach leaves. Add pasta sauce and allow to simmer for 10 mins until the meatballs are thoroughly cooked
  2. Cook the pasta according to the packets instructions. Drain and place back into the pot
  3. Toss the meatballs and sauce through the cooked pasta. Serve to the table in the pot or serve into individual bowls
  4. Garnish with lots of fresh basil leaves and parmesan
  5. Serve with warm crusty bread and extra parmesan
