Mince on Toast

Any time of the day, any time of the year this is a dish that satisfies and is so simple to make…serve it with an egg on top, maybe a handful of grated tasty cheese and you can’t go wrong!

Ingredients

  • 500g Hellers Base Mince recipe
  • ½ cup frozen peas
  • ½ cup corn kernels
  • Thick sliced bread for toasting
  • Butter
  • Optional toppings – egg, grated cheese, rocket leaves if you want to be a bit fancy!

Method

  1. Heat the basic mince in a medium pot, bring to a simmer and add the peas and corn simmer till cooked through
  2. Toast the bread and butter generously
  3. Spoon the mince over the toast and eat immediately
  4. Add a fried or poached egg, some grated cheese for extra deliciousness
