Ingredients
- 1 pack Hellers Family Meatballs
- 500g pasta sauce
- 1 pack sliders or dinner rolls
- 150g mozzarella grated
- 50g parmesan finely grated
- 100g garlic butter melted
- fresh parsley + chives roughly chopped
Method
- Preheat fan oven 180C
- Start by browning off the meatballs in 2 tbsp of oil in a large frypan over medium heat. Stir until evenly browned then pour in the pasta sauce and simmer for 5-8 mins until the meatballs are thoroughly cooked then set aside
- Using a small serrated knife cut out a circle from the top of the roll leaving at least a 1-2 cm edge. Scoop out the middle but leave enough on the bottom so that they are sturdy enough
- Place the cut sliders onto a lined baking tray
- Using a spoon or clean hands place a meatball into each cut slider and top with a little extra pasta sauce. Repeat until all the sliders are done - reserve the remaining pasta sauce in a serving bowl to heat later for dipping
- Sprinkle with grated mozzarella and parmesan and drizzle over the garlic butter using a brush
- Bake in the hot oven for 10-15 mins or until the cheese is golden
- Serve straight from the tray onto the table and garnish with fresh herbs, extra garlic butter and a side of warm pasta sauce for dipping
