All sponsorship applications must be received through the Hellers website.
Hellers reserves the right to decline requests. Not all applicants may be selected.
Applications open to primary and intermediate schools only
Every application is treated as a new application, there are no guarantees that it will be successful or given in full. The school may have got one last year, missed out this year but still get one the next year for example. However, the previous success of a school’s application may impact on their chances with future applications, as SAUSAGES FOR SCHOOLS aims to serve every primary and intermediate school in New Zealand.
Hellers review applications 3 months prior to the month of sausage sponsorship (i.e. an application for 25th November will be reviewed at the end of July and the applicant will be notified of a decision in the first week of August).
All previous successful applicants need to make sure that they have sent through all information required for any previous donation they have received including feedback. This will impact on the current application as all criteria needs to be met.
At least four months’ notice must be given before the fundraising event begins
Participating schools must display a ‘Hellers Sausages for Schools’ banner during the fundraising event. Schools are to supply these themselves (we suggest making it a fun art project for the students).
Schools must supply Hellers with photos taken of the fundraiser and banner. Hellers reserves the right to use these images for promotional use.
Participating schools must use the merchandise supplied, such as wearing Hellers aprons and using our logo.
Participating schools must advise Hellers of funds raised from the sausage sizzle within a month of the event
Every SAUSAGES FOR SCHOOLS sausage must be sold for no less than $2.
Hellers requests that schools place a small SAUSAGES FOR SCHOOLS advertisement in their school newsletter.
Please start planning early and send in your application as soon as possible as we currently have a limit of 30 schools we can supply each month.
