Schnitzel Sub

Lets throw a parmigiana into a sub with mayo and basil or rocket …absolute winner!

INGREDIENTS

  • Hellers schnitzel
  • Pasta sauce
  • Grated mozzarella or sliced fresh mozzarella
  • Sub bread rolls
  • butter and mayo
  • Basil leaves / rocket leaves

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven or use an air fryer
  2. To make the parmigiana place the schnitzel into a greased or lined baking dish and top with several spoonful of pasta sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella and bake until golden and thoroughly cooked
  3. Cut the sub rolls lengthways in half and butter the inside bottom half and spread the inside top half generously with mayo
  4. To assemble slice the parmigiana into finger size portions and place onto the buttered bottom sub. Drizzle with any leftover pasta sauce, top with basil or rocket leaves and place the lid on
