Philly Cheese + Steak Stuffed Focaccia

A gigantic crowd pleaser – this one is awesome for game day!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack Hellers Philly Cheese Loaded Hotdogs
  • 1 large Foccacia
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 3 large tomatoes cored and sliced
  • 1/2 white onion sliced thinly soaked in cold water for 10 mins, drain
  • Colby or cheddar cheese slices
  • Condiments: mustard, tomato sauce, mayo or ranch dressing

METHOD

  1. Heat BBQ
  2. Brush ribeye with oil and season with salt, sear and cook on BBQ to your desired style - allow to rest for at least 10 mins
  3. BBQ the sausages over medium heat until piping hot
  4. Cut the ribeye into finger size slices and the sausages into quarters
  5. Cut focaccia in half [sear on bbq if desire] spread with butter, tomato sauce, mustard, mayo and then add the cheese slices to the bottom
  6. To assemble - layer the cut sausages and steak onto the bottom focaccia, add onions, sliced tomatoes and finish with extra cheese and condiments if desired
  7. Cut into quarters and serve with additional condiments
